Lab: Iterative Prompting with Rubrics (20–25 min)

Goal: take a rough prompt and iterate to meet a rubric.

Steps

1) Pick a task (e.g., summarize a 1–2 page note). 2) Write a first prompt: role, task, constraints, output format. 3) Add a rubric with 3–5 criteria; ask for a self-rating and fixes. 4) Iterate twice: adjust constraints without breaking what works.

Deliverable

• Final prompt and output, plus 3 lessons learned.
